May devastate
And engage
The gears
For turmoil
Through rhythm
And motion.
Newly accustomed
With me
We dance
With passion
Routinely
Through darkness,
Enraptured,
A motion of change.
Befriending
With torture
And fear
And regret,
Unsettled the scenes
For which I'm not set.
I regress
To my dreamworld,
An ocean of change.
These cycles,
Their rhythms,
Programs of old,
Foundations
Are shaken,
No longer sold.
Old rhythms are broken,
Old dances -- renewed,
All traces -- forgotten,
To brighten the mood.
Change
May devastate
But in its power,
It will engage
The hearts
Of many
For refreshment,
A motion, a notion,
An ocean of change.
